Metal Infiltration

High pressure casting for liquid metal infiltration

CPS utilizes high pressure metal infiltration techniques to introduce molten metals into fine cavities, yielding net-shape composite components with exceptional mechanical properties, precise dimensional stability, and complex internal structures not achievable through conventional casting or machining. These capabilities enable CPS to produce a variety of composites and encapsulated materials to each customer’s standards.

High Pressure Infiltration

CPS uses a proprietary high pressure casting process to infiltrate metals into a number of different preforms.

Multiple Alloys and Features

While we specialize in aluminum, our equipment is capable of processing a number of specialty materials to meet customer needs.  CPS has the ability to incorporate special features in our castings such as heat pipes and pyrolytic graphite for improved performance.

Complex Geometries

With in house machined tooling, CPS is capable of infiltrating complex geometries and installing special features to meet customer design requirements.
