Mr. Bennett held the positions of President, CEO, Treasurer and Director of the Company from September 1992 to July 2021 when he retired from all positions except Director.

Ralph M. Norwood

Board Member

Mr. Norwood previously served as the CFO of CPS from 2011 to 2019. He came to CPS from Navigator Advisors LLC, a financial consulting company, where he had served as President since he founded the firm in 2006.

For over 40 years CPS Technologies has helped power the world, improve communications, create more efficient transportation, defend our military, and explore the far reaches of our galaxy. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Joe Englin
Director of Business Development
Mr. Englin joined CPS in April of 2023. Prior to joining CPS, his work experience includes positions in business development, with a focus on composite materials and aerospace markets. Mr. Englin received a BSE in mechanical engineering from Calvin University and an MSE in Engineering Management and Leadership.

Brian Mackey
CEO & President
Mr. Mackey was named President and CEO of the Company in August of 2023. His work experience includes various leadership positions in growth-oriented and technology centric manufacturing businesses. He previously served as: CEO of Engi-Mat Co., a leading developer and producer of nanomaterials, particularly metal oxides and ceramics; General Manager of the Synchrony Business Unit of Dresser-Rand/Siemens; and Chief Operating Officer of Synchrony, Inc. prior to its acquisition by Dresser-Rand. Earlier, he served for five years as an officer and senior parachutist in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, Mr. Mackey has an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Daniel Barton
Vice President of Operations

Mr. Barton has more than 30 years of leadership experience in Operations and General Management with organizations in both the public and private sector, as well as extensive experience across a multitude of functions including manufacturing, production readiness, Supply Chain and Planning. Dan is also experienced in executing new facility startups. Mr. Barton received a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts – Boston. He is also a retired Army officer. (Veteran OIF III)

Stephen Kachur, Ph.D.
Vice President of Technology

Dr. Kachur manages new product development of next generation composite materials. Prior to joining CPS, he managed multiple programs geared toward the development of ceramic matrix composites and additive manufacturing for aerospace/defense applications, with a focus on hypersonic structures. Dr. Kachur received his B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Lehigh University, as well as a Ph.D. and M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Thomas M. Culligan
Board Member

Mr. Tom Culligan served as a Senior Vice President of Raytheon Corporation from 2001 until his retirement in December 2013. He also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Raytheon International. Prior to joining Raytheon, Mr. Culligan held senior positions with Honeywell, its predecessor, Allied Signal Corporation, and McDonnell Douglas Corporation. Earlier in his career he served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and as a legislative director for a U.S. Congressman. Mr. Culligan holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida State University.

Ralph M. Norwood

Mr. Norwood previously served as the CFO of CPS from 2011 to 2019. He came to CPS from Navigator Advisors LLC, a financial consulting company, where he had served as President since he founded the firm in 2006. From 2002 until 2005 he served as the CFO of SatCon Technology Corporation. Prior to that, he served for over 20 years at Polaroid Corporation in various financial VP capacities. Mr. Norwood is also a U.S. Army veteran and serves on the Board of Directors of Technical Communications Corporation (“TCCO”). Mr. Norwood is a CPA and has a B.S. from the University of New Hampshire and an M.B.A from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.

Daniel C. Snow
Board Member

Dr. Snow is the Director of the MBA Programs at the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University (BYU). Prior to his current position, he was an associate professor at BYU since 2010. Previously he served as a visiting professor at both the Harvard Business School and Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business, and also served as an Associate Professor at Oxford University in England. Dr. Snow previously worked for the Ford Motor Company as a financial analyst and has served as Director of the Company since 2008. Dr. Snow holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from Brigham Young University and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Grant Bennett

Mr. Bennett held the positions of President, CEO, Treasurer and Director of the Company from September 1992 to July 2021 when he retired from all positions except Director. He served as Vice President Sales and Marketing of CPS from November 1985 to September 1992. Before joining CPS, Mr. Bennett was a consultant and manager at Bain & Company, a strategy consulting firm. Mr. Bennett has an MS degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and BA degree from the University of Utah.

Charles K. Griffith, Jr.
CFO

Mr. Griffith joined the Company in April, 2019 and assumed responsibility as Chief Financial Officer in May 2019. He came to the Company from SPRI Clinical Trials Global, LLC, a company managing clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry, where he served as Chief Financial Officer from May 2007 to December 2018. Prior to joining SPRI, Mr. Griffith was the Vice President-Finance at Vertex Distribution (previously known as Pawtucket Fasteners and Bell Fasteners), a Rhode Island-based, private-equity owned manufacturer and distributor of corrosion resistant fasteners, where he worked for 27 years. Mr. Griffith has an accounting degree from The College of William and Mary, and an M.B.A. from Bryant University.

Francis J. Hughes, Jr.
Chairman

Mr. Hughes has served as President of American Research and Development Corporation (ARD), a venture capital firm, since 1992. He has served as a Director of the Company since 1993, and was elected Chairman of the Board in June 2018. Mr. Hughes has a B.S. and M.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Michael McCormack
CEO

Mr. McCormack has over thirty-five years of documented success in product development and management. He has a wealth of experience in administration and management of personnel, fiscal matters, business development and problem solving. Michael has a BS degree from the US Military Academy at West Point, and master’s degrees from the National Defense University in Washington DC, and the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University in Boston.
